Firework displays, shopping days and a time to remember

As the evenings draw in, November is the perfect month to take advantage of our excellent midweek rates, and enjoy some fantastic firework displays or a spot of Christmas shopping while you’re here. Stay from £69.00 (Sunday to Thursday, incl. VAT and breakfast, for a standard double or twin, subject to availability). There’s plenty to do, not forgetting Remembrance Day events either.

2014 Walking Festival: Shatterford Loop – Saturday 1st November

The Shatterford Loop, starting from Beaulieu Road car park, is an exciting walk over a colourful landscape taking in the scenery of the open heathland and the rich mature woodland of the ancient woodlands.

Beaulieu Fireworks – Saturday 1st November

Be wowed by one of the largest firework displays in the South, set to a “Rock Legends” theme. Everyone is invited to get in the spirit of the night in fancy dress, with prizes going to the best dressed.

Bournemouth Fireworks – Saturday 8th November

Besides the 3 firework displays throughout the evening there are a range of activities for all the family to enjoy, including a funfair, static displays, licensed bar and refreshments. Plus an indoor family zone with kids disco group displays and arena entertainment.

Variety Remembrance, Ringwood – Sunday 2nd November

Variety Remembrance 2014 is a Variety show followed by remembrance concert, taking place at Verwood Hub.

Remembrance Day in Ringwood – Sunday 9th November

Remembrance Day in Ringwood is a very important occasion with representatives from many different youth groups attending as well as veterans. The Squadron is split into two squads. One pays tribute in Ringwood, the other in Fordingbridge.

Remembrance Day in Salisbury

With visiting preacher, former Chaplain General, Ven Stephen Robbins at Salisbury Cathedral

Armistice Day – Tuesday 11th November

A short commemoration to include two minutes silence. Throughout the day names of soldiers from across the Salisbury Diocese killed in WWI will be read, also at Salisbury Cathedral.

Special markets at The Furlong – Sunday 2nd, Saturday 22nd and Sunday 30th November

Bert & Gert’s Vintage Craft Market on Sunday 2nd November will bring a great mix of arts, crafts and vintage stalls, all offering something unique. On Saturday 22nd November, the buzzing Christmas Farmers’ Market provides shoppers with the opportunity to buy delicious, fresh, in season, locally produced high quality food at great value prices.

Then on Sunday 30th November the annual Christmas Market brings a variety of festive stalls from local artisans and producers. There will also be live singing performances from local choirs and a charity raffle.
